Somerset Beaten despite Trescothick's efforts

Marcus Trescothick hit a blistering 69 from just 32 balls in an opening stand of 104 with Justin Langer. But, despite reaching the hundred mark in less than 10 overs, Somerset's pursuit of Northant's 201 - 4 fell away after Marcus was out, eventually falling short of their target by 25 runs.

Marcus' innings included 10 4's and 3 6's and looked set to have put in place a foundation for victory.

However, with some excellent northamptonshire bowling and ever-reducing light, Northants sealed their first victory in the 20/20 series.
